Twinning and partnerships
Twinning with other associations working in the same areas of action: the fourth of the ways we act in Article 7.
What a twinning requires
Before we twin, we check three points.
-
Shared areas of action
We look for partners among associations, institutions and private organisations in each of our four areas of work.
-
Roles shared out in writing
Who does what, settled before we begin.
-
A named contact
One person named on each side.
The three other ways
Article 7 recognises four of them, and we carry them together: a twinning brings us resources as well as skills, and it is the framework through which we can run a project elsewhere on the continent.
Building
We build supervision and education facilities. We budget for upkeep and supervision from the start of the project, together with the structural work.
How we do thisRaising awareness
We organise caravans, conferences, forums, seminars, informal talks and symposiums. We go out to meet families before the situation takes hold.
How we do thisMobilising resources
We mobilise human, financial and material resources. We seek skills and supplies as much as funds, which our current means do not allow us to buy.
How we do this
The organisations working alongside us
They are alongside us

Funding this way of acting
We receive no automatic funding: every action rests on the resources we manage to mobilise.
